The Faithful class Christmas Party is Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Kresge Lobby. There will be cookies to decorate, hot cocoa and an Elf-themed spaghetti eating contest at 9 p.m. Food and drink will be provided, and make sure to wear a Christmas sweater.
The Appointed class Christmas party will be Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. in the GC Commons. The party will have food, games and activities centered on a Grinch theme. Christmas sweaters are encouraged but not mandatory. According to Hannah Becht, the Appointed class female activities director, “It’s going to be a great time of playing games, eating food, drinking hot cocoa and hanging out with our class, so be sure to come out and have some fun with us.”
The Visionary class Christmas party will be Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. on the carpet side of the Stuce. Come out in your Christmas pajamas to have a time of fellowship, food and fun. There will be a Christmas storytime with Dr. Chris Bounds by the fireplace and also a clothing drive to help those affected in the Floridian hurricanes earlier this year.
The Merciful class Christmas party is Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in the WGM basement. “We are so excited to celebrate our last Merciful Christmas party together,” stated Natalia Berkey, Merciful class president. “This is a time to relax and connect before finals. We will have lots of food, games and fun.”
International Christmas Market
Hosted by the International Student Alliance and Mukappa, the International Christmas Market is Friday, Dec. 7 from 4-6 p.m. on the map side of the Stuce. Each corner of the Stuce will represent a different area of the world, including Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. They will all be offering crafts and gifts for purchase from their respective countries as well as authentic food and decorations. “There are live performances and an array of global fair trade gifts as well — lots of great food and a chance to experience Christmas around the world,” stated Maria Brown, international affairs coordinator. Tickets are $1 and will be handed out at the door to purchase food.
Johnson Christmas
The 21st annual Johnson Christmas Party is this Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. There will be a reading of the Christmas story “The Night Before Johnson Christmas” on the front porch to begin the night. Everyone will walk through the halls starting with Johnson’s newest hall, 1st East, or the Founders. The award for the best hall will be announced. There will be Christmas cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby as well as Johnson Hall Christmas Party long sleeve t-shirts for sale. “I hope everyone can make it out to the Christmas Party on Wednesday night,” said Evan Duszynski, Resident Director of Johnson Hall. “The men of Johnson get so excited for this event and work really hard to put together a fun and festive environment for the campus.”
