With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, students might be wondering how to make the day special without spending too much money or getting something as cliché as a box of chocolates. But never fear: the Collegian’s got your back with a list of five fun, inexpensive and unique things to do this Valentine’s season — whether you’re in a relationship or flying solo.

    • Attend a printmaking workshop held by Artworks at the Carver School on 522 Patterson St, Lexington, Kentucky. The workshop will take place Feb. 8 from 5:30-8:30 p.m., and there is no cost to attend. According to the event page on Facebook, guests will “make a small hand-printed and originally designed linocut valentine.” If you’re new to printmaking, don’t worry: The workshop will include a brief lesson on the basics. Treat them at this event (10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 9) which will include exclusive deals, a kissing booth photo-op and a free treat for every dog that walks in the door.
