Winter fashion for 2019 is all about the throwbacks and incorporating a little bit of fashion inspiration from every decade. Take old thrifted outfits or old clothes to spice up your fashion for this season.
Denim on denim and neutral colors are really in this year. A good pair of boots goes a long way; Perhaps a classic Ugg boot or some Doc Martens could do a lot. Layers are always a good go-to. If you’re not feeling the big chunky winter coat, even though big puffers are in as well, especially knee-length with a fur hood, layers are always a good alternative.
Turtle necks are also making a comeback, especially mock necks if you don’t want to have that suffocating feeling of a fully covered turtle neck. If you want to spice things up, throw on a chunky chain with those 80’s vibes. If you’re not trying to do too much, just pop on a nice pair of Adidas or Nike sweats or joggers and a bomber jacket and you’ll be looking fly like no other.
Leave that big ole purse in the dorms, strap a nice fanny pack on your hip and only pack the essentials, and you’ll be set for life. Fanny packs are changing the game.
A word from the Photographer
When doing a photo shoot, no matter the type or for how long, it always helps to have either a second shooter or someone to come along and just place the models. This second person is always good for lugging around extra equipment as well.
I’ve been shooting for about 10 years now, and I get better with each shoot that I do. The best way to get better at what you do is to just go out and do it. Do it all the time, even if it’s not for a project of some sort. I feel out of the game when I don’t shoot for awhile, so making myself go out and do photo shoots gets me out of that funk.
