On March 6, juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to experience Junior Senior, with the theme of “Maskquerade.”
The Faithful Class cabinet is finishing up preparing for the Junior Senior, an annual event that many current seniors have not been able to attend due to COVID-19. Junior Senior is a tradition at Asbury.
“I have never attended a Junior Senior. My friends and I were planning on attending last year, but then COVID happened,” Faithful Class publicist Joy Marshall said. “I’m hoping a lot of people will come out since this is one of the first events and dances we’ve been able to have since the pandemic. I imagine the atmosphere will be a little different than past Junior Seniors, but I think it will be an exciting time.”
The theme of Junior Senior, “Maskquerade,” is a play-on-words based on current events.
“The theme of Junior Senior is Maskquerade, a pun spinning off a regular masquerade and this strange pandemic season we find ourselves in today,” Marshall said.
The Faithful Class hopes this Junior Senior will be enjoyed by all in attendance.
“Just wear your favorite mask and dress in nice attire,” Marshall said. “The Faithful Class cabinet has been working hard to prepare a wonderful evening, and we hope this will be a great time for everyone to celebrate a crazy semester.”
The event will take place on March 6 at the Lexington Griffin Marriott. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are free to seniors and $20 to juniors. They are now available for seniors at lunchtime in the cafeteria. Junior ticket sales are to be announced.
