Political commentator and Fox News contributor Deroy Murdock spoke to Asbury journalism and media students on Feb. 20. Murdock appeared in partnership with the journalism department’s “Pressing Matters” series.
Murdock gave a presentation on media bias in the Miller screening room. Later, he met with students at Windsor Manor. Among those in attendance for both events were many members of the Collegian staff.
The New York-based Murdock has a diverse background in media and commentary, including work as a contributing Editor with National Review Online, a former Media Fellow with the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University; and a Senior Fellow with the Atlas Network, which supports and connects some 475 free-market think tanks in the USA and some 95 countries world-wide, according to his profile on the Young America’s Foundation website. He also writes a weekly column and lectures regularly throughout the country.
