The Jessamine County community will once again get to experience KCAL’s annual Halloween dinner troupe hosted at First Vineyard Winery. Differing from previous years, the show and dinner will span two different nights, Oct. 25 and 26.
In addition to the live performance by KCAL, there will also be dinner catered by Columbia Steak House which will take place at 6 p.m. before the beginning of the show at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale for $40 per person and will include dinner. Tickets are available by calling the number on KCAL’s website: https://kcalotr.com/
Alcoholic beverages will be sold during the event, therefore only those who are 21 years of age or older will be able to attend the show. The show will also feature an optional costume contest.
KCAL Old Time Radio Troupe has hosted previous Halloween shows at First Vineyard Winery. In 2021 they performed a “My Favorite Husband” Halloween episode that first aired in 1949 and a “Suspense” episode that originally aired in 1946.
The KCAL Old Time Radio Troupe “recreates old time radio shows the way they were originally performed back in the 40s and 50s. Anything from mysteries to comedies to dramas with period clothing, sound effects, original commercials and music.”
Attending KCAL’s annual Halloween dinner troupe is a great way to support an organization that relies on the volunteer work of directors, producers and performers of the show and to experience a throwback to the “Golden Age of Radio.”
