Wilmore’s 25th annual premier Arts and Crafts Fest is being held this weekend.
The event will take place along the streets of downtown Wilmore, featuring high-quality crafts and local artistry. There will be over 80 vendor booths of all handmade items to showcase a variety of artists and small businesses. The event will also include live music with/ featuring numerous bands, local restaurant food trucks and pony rides. There will also be craft activities for children to participate in.
Festival vendors showcase a wide variety of crafts and art, ranging from paintings to furniture.
“Vendors will be selling wood crafts, knitted and crocheted items, candles, soap, shaker boxes, wreaths, farmhouse signs, jewelry, baskets, woven items, body care products, dog treats, wrought iron furniture, pottery, kettle corn and alcohol ink tiles, among other things,” said the festival’s coordinators via social media.
Over the past five years, the Arts and Crafts Fest has doubled in size. While half of the vendors will be showcasing on Main Street, the other half will set up on Wilmore’s Downtown Green.
“Since 2019, we have effectively doubled the size of the Arts and Crafts Festival. There were about 40 vendors at that point, all along historic Main Street. We have had such a response to the festival that we’ve taken in 80 vendors,” said Tara Hall, Publicity Coordinator for last year’s festival.
This event is a great opportunity to connect with local artists while also exploring Wilmore’s downtown boutiques and shops. All shops and local restaurants will be open for the public during the duration of the festival.
The Arts and Crafts Fest is Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Street and the Downtown Green.
