Asbury’s upcoming Winter Preview for prospective students, is Nov. 14-15. This event gives all students interested in the university, either high school or transfer, the opportunity to visit campus and get a closer look at what Asbury life is like. Visiting with current students and professors, attending classes and touring campus and chapel are some of the many opportunities for those visiting over the week’s end.
Many prospective students will have the opportunity to experience dorm life as well as connect with current students. On-campus overnight stays can be arranged for Thursday evening, Nov. 14.
Not only will prospective students have the opportunity to experience the Asbury community, Winter Preview also has events scheduled for parents. These sessions are designed to help them receive important information on campus life and admissions. Sessions for parents include a Financial Aid seminar, a faculty panel with professors and academic department open houses. Parents are invited to attend all Preview events, but not required.
The Financial Aid seminar will be held by the Director of Financial Aid and discuss the financial aid process and the University’s financial aid programs. The faculty panel will allow professors to discuss with parents and students how they incorporate their faith with their profession. Open houses will allow students to experience Asbury’s small class structure and interact with faculty from each academic department.
Students also have the opportunity to receive financial aid through Winter Preview. Those who sign up will qualify for a $2,000 visit scholarship.
Preview is free to attend. In addition, the cost of group meals for visiting students and parents will be covered. For more information on this event, visit (asbury.edu/admissions-aid).
