The Curious Kids Club is set for the end of this month. The club is a monthly meetup for children, providing stories, hands-on lessons, crafts, science experiments and snacks. The meetup is specifically for younger children ages infant to five.
The activities and lessons for each meeting focus on a theme that changes monthly. January’s theme centers around Ezra Jack Keat’s book, “The Snowy Day.”
The club advertises for children to “Come ready to learn, explore and get messy.”
The goal of the group is to create a place for young children in the community to have fun and connect with other children their age. Wilmore has a number of youth in need of a local place to learn and grow. The kids club is also a great opportunity for parents to get connected within the community as well.
The director of the club, Erika Jo Miller, said, “My goal is to create a group of kids who want to learn through having fun and making friends! Each month will have a different theme with activities, songs, crafts and snacks that coordinate!”
Each meetup is free, but registration is required before attending.
The club will meet on Jan. 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 322 E. Main Street in downtown Wilmore.
