On Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. there will be a President’s Day Bounce House event. It will be located at the Wilmore Municipal Center’s gym. The event costs $5 for one hour on the bounce houses or $10 for unlimited time in the inflatables.
Cash or Venmo are the strongly recommended payment methods. Socks are required for entry onto the inflatables. The event is for children in the Wilmore and Nicholasville area. Parents are able to bounce if they have a child young enough or if they are willing to help watch the kids.
The bounce houses are being provided by Abounding Fun, located in Lexington. The entrance for the event will be at the back of the gym located behind the Police Station. There is parking located in the side lot of the building.
The event is being held to support the Oola Tribe Willmore Volleyball Club who hold this event several times a year to raise money for the program. The latest one was at Thanksgiving. The club runs volleyball teams and clinics for young girls, including a winter volleyball league.
Wilmore Parks and Recreation league has over 180 girls and each of them are encouraged to try out for this league. There are now 36 girls in this group, standing as the best of the best within Wilmore. The skill level can be anything from beginner to more advanced.
The group hopes the event creates an opportunity for young children to have fun indoors during the holiday. The event is open to all ages.
