Silent Disco returns for the third year in a row

One of the most popular campus events will be returning for the third year in a row on Feb. 22 from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Walt and Rowena Shaw Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) Luce Auditorium. This event is free and students do not need to purchase tickets to attend.

The theme of the night is “Glow in the Dark,” so be sure to dress accordingly in neon and bright colors. Every student in attendance will receive a pair of headphones with three different channels of music to choose from so everyone can find something they enjoy dancing to.

“I would encourage everyone to come, because Silent Disco is the one event you don’t want to miss!” said junior Marlee Pettit, “It’s always a fun time, so bring all of your friends and show out on Saturday!”

There will be lots of snacks and refreshments provided at this event. Snacks will include a popcorn board with butter, caramel and cheddar and chocolate drizzle popcorn. There will also be a classic charcuterie board and a dessert board with a variety of desserts, such as a candy board where people can make a personal “candy salad.” Drinks will include water and Kool-Aid Jammers.

“My favorite part of the event is seeing everyone enjoy themselves and dance with their friends,” said Pettit, “especially when people find a certain song they like on a specific channel, and everyone joins in and goes crazy!”

“It is my favorite event!” said Student Activities Cabinet Team Lead Morgan Miller. If you are looking for a fun-filled evening to party with your friends, Silent Disco is for you.
