While the coming weekend is a relatively quiet one for the athletics department, the Eagles will still compete in multiple facets with stakes growing stronger as we progress through the 2025 Spring semester.
Men’s Basketball
With a 5-14 (1-5) record, the men’s basketball team is in desperate need of some momentum. This weekend on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8, they’ll have the opportunity to get just that. With two home games against LaGrange College and Huntingdon College, respectively, the Eagles will benefit from an ever-reliant home crowd with their backs against the wall. Any shot of positivity would go a long way for the team at this point.
Women’s Basketball
The women’s team will tackle the same schedule this weekend. At 8-7 (5-1) on the season, they’ve got the chance to push two more games above .500 and build on what has been a successful stretch as of late. Their current five-game winning streak grows more impressive game-by-game.
Track and Field
Both men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to Cedarville, Oh. to compete in the NCCAA Indoor National Championship on Feb. 7. The early-season tournament represents a good opportunity for both teams to travel, stretch their legs and test their might against a wide spread of talent throughout the league and across the country.
