Baseball
On Friday, Feb. 28, the men’s baseball team will tackle a home series against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The series will mark their second three-game home stretch of the season so far, providing a great opportunity for the team to defend their field and get off to a strong start in a new season and year.
Softball
The softball team will play two games on Saturday, March 1, against Manchester University, also at home. This doubleheader comes on the heels of a road visit to Midway University. Six of the team’s first eight games are at home, giving the team a similar chance to the baseball squad: protect the home base and take advantage of the purple and white faithful in the stands.
Women’s Basketball
Over the weekend, the women’s basketball team will participate in the Collegiate Conference of the South tournament. This event is the final stop before the ultimate NCAA tournament the following week, rounding off the women’s season and opening the door for the possibility of making a real splash. Either way, at 16-8 (13-2) on the season, the Eagles have more than enough to hang their collective hats on.
