SEARCH Announcement

Asbury University will host the annual SEARCH Symposium and competition on April 7 – 8. Students participating in SEARCH will be given the opportunity to present their projects at the student showcase which will be open to the public to attend. 

The SEARCH Symposium kicks off with chapel led by guest speaker Dr. Phil Tallon on April 7 at 10 a.m. Tallon will also be giving the Keynote lecture in Jameson Recital Hall at 7 p.m. on April 8 prior to the student showcase. 

Tallon teaches at Houston Christian University (HCU) as an associate professor of theology and works as the dean of HCU’s School of Christian Thought. 

The SEARCH Symposium is an opportunity for students and faculty from many different majors and areas of study to explore the work of their friends and colleagues, as well as present to the public a wide variety of topics. 

The student showcase will take place in the Walt and Rowena Shaw Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) Luce auditorium on April 8 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Students who have submitted SEARCH papers compete for cash prizes awarded to the top papers. The first prize winner will receive one thousand dollars while two runner-ups will receive awards of five hundred dollars.
