COMMITTEE ON A WHIM
What’s the importance of your committee/branch?
Committee on a Whim is around to provide students with fun, often somewhat spontaneous, events. Asbury’s campus has a stigma for not having a lot to do, especially on the weekends, and the only way to change that is to plan events. Our job is to come up with new and creative events for students to enjoy.
What has been the best moment you’ve experienced while involved with them?
My favorite moments are always during the events, when I am able to take a step back and see everyone (hopefully) having a great time. The best moment so far this year was at Waterpalooza. Standing on a hay bale and watching everyone go down a giant slip-n-slide countless times was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day and everyone who came out had a blast!
What do you want other students on campus to know about your ministries?
We want to hear your ideas! Committee on a Whim is unique in that we have a lot of freedom in what events we get to do each year. We are constantly trying to come up with new, exciting events for students to enjoy. If you have any ideas for something you would like to see happen on campus, feel free to let us know. We are here for you and want to make events happen that you want!
