You had to deal with surgery last year, what was that recovery process like?
I had Tommy John surgery last January. The recovery process was very long and painful at times. Going through the struggles of the recovery process helped me become the player I am today.
What kept you motivated as you worked towards coming back this season?
Trying to keep my eyes set on the end result is what kept me motivated throughout the recovery process. I knew that I needed to be ready to go by this season so it really amped up the importance of my workouts and physical therapy over the past year.
What were some of the goals you had for yourself this year, and how have you been accomplishing those?
The main goal I had set for myself this season was just getting back on the mound and throwing in games again. I had a lot of people help me get to where I am now which has allowed for me to get back to starting and a spot in the conference rotation
What are some things you wish more people on campus knew about the baseball team?
Something that people on campus should know about the baseball team is that they are some of the hardest working guys on campus. Playing a 55 game schedule over the span of two months is tough to do while balancing that with classes.
