CLASS – MERCIFUL
MAJOR – BUSINESS
BRANCH – STUDENT INTERCULTURAL PROGRAMS
ROLE – ADVOCACY AND COMPREHENSION
What is the importance of your committee/branch?
It allows room for discussion on needed and important topics involving racial matters, on campus or nationwide, that are impacting students.
What has been the best moment you’ve experienced while being involved with them?
Planning our first event, “#AreYouSerious?!”, seeing it into fruition and hearing the positive and constructive feedback from students. The event made my co-chair, Sara Trapp, and I realize that this was the beginning of a time of serious possibilities for campus.
What do you want other students on campus to know about your committee/branch?
This branch needs involvement from all students. In order to create an area of understanding and growth, we must all come together and work for the common good of creating unity amongst every ethnic group here at Asbury. So, if you feel an inclination to join, please do.
