Sophomore Retreat
This year’s sophomore retreat will be held at the Bluegrass Christian Camp from Aug. 31 through Sept. 2. Aside from having team-building activities, sports and games, the Appointed class is embracing the central theme of “Becoming Less.”
“We, as the cabinet, hope that the retreat will serve as a time that the class can connect as a whole and most importantly grow in our relationships with Christ by allowing him to become greater in whatever aspect each person needs,” stated Demarion Johnson, Appointed Class president.
Junior Retreat
It is not too late to get a ticket for the Visionary Class’s junior retreat, held Aug. 31. If bought before hand, tickets cost $5 but can also be purchased at the door for $7. This year’s cabinet decided to switch things up by having a worship session at the reservoir from 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. paired with a lock-in at Champs until 2 a.m. with games, food and fun. Visionary ASC representative, Sarah Cole, said, “It’s going to be a time for our class to reconnect after summer, and a great break after syllabus week!”
