Family Weekend
Starting Friday, Oct. 5, families will be able to attend chapel, sports and music events here at Asbury as part of this year’s Family Weekend.
According to Asbury’s website, “Sibling Invasion is an opportunity for high school-aged siblings of current Asbury students to visit the campus. Held during Family Weekend, students will have the chance to attend classes and chapel, eat meals in the dining hall, tour the campus and participate in all the festivities.”
WGM Goat Roast
On Saturday, Oct. 6 from 4-7 p.m., WGM will be hosting its annual Goat Roast. There will be free goat stew, a photo booth, Kenyan coffee and apple cider. There will also be games, a box maze and giveaways, which includes a Google Home Mini.
Men’s Soccer Game
On Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., the Asbury men’s soccer team will face Cincinnati Clermont University in its Homecoming game. “It’s going to be a good game,” said junior Fionn McCartan. “Come out and support us.”
Homecoming Dance
This year’s Homecoming dance will take place in the Student Center Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. This year’s theme is All That Jazz, a tribute to the 1920s. Students can expect a lot of gold, black and silver decor as those planning the event draw inspiration from the 2012 movie “The Great Gatsby.”
Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 each.
