Every year hundreds of students attend Taste of GC. Similar to Johnson Christmas or Trustees Tunnel of Love, this event allows Glide-Crawford the opportunity to show its personal style by decorating according to a certain theme. Each hall votes on a theme and makes a snack to share with passers-by. This year, the event included a slumber party hall with party snacks, a hall where all the girls wore evening gowns to mimic “The Bachelor,” a campfire hall with a puppy and many others.
RA of 3rd Crawford Katy Patterson and her hall hosted a sorority theme. The party was fun but what Patterson said she enjoyed most was seeing her hall coming together and enjoying being with each other.
This event is not only for others to enjoy, but it is also a bonding experience for all the girls on the hall, according to RA of 3rd Glide Tori McKinley. Her hall hosted a space-themed party that was “out of this world.” “I’m so proud of my hall for all their hard work and all of the other halls, too!” McKinley added. “This year we really went all out as a dorm, which was really cool to see.”
