Asbury women’s Cross Country team won the KIAC Championship on Nov. 8. Sophomore Katy Falkenberg finished the 5k in 19:13, followed by seniors Justine Vonderheide (19:75) and Devon Zweifel (20:15), junior Kim Miller (20:26), freshmen Sabrina Salvacion (20:37) and Erin Garmany (20:52), and sophomore Carlie Core (21:22).
The conference championship win means that the next step for the women’s team is a trip to Lawrence, Kan. where they will compete in the NAIA national championships on Nov. 22.
